Congratulations to Jeni Chan on her M.S. thesis!

Congratulations to Jeni Chan who successfully defended her M.S. thesis research! Jeni mapped high-grade blueschist facies rocks in the Easton terrane that occur structurally beneath the oldest and highest grade subducted amphibolite units and structurally above regional lower-grade blueschists. Jeni combined her detailed mapping with garnet geochronology to determine the timing for progressive underplating of each unit within the Easton. Her work expands our understanding of early subduction processes in this region. Next, Jeni heads north to the Alaska Range for copper and gold exploration with Equity Exploration.
